Point A Day #6
If you're anything like me, you likely don't have to look far to find some wilderness generator. They are all over the place, and each of them can provide their own unique locations. Even if some are pretty similar, the results from the tables are likely to be drastically different, which makes for some interesting times. Even if the content isn't all that interesting, it still adds a richness to the landscape and the overall milieu. I'd rather my wilderness be dense with semi-interesting things than overly sparse.
Anyway, this wilderness point is brought to you by Tarvannion. By Castle Grief. Someone in the comments of the Itch describes it as "Elric mixed with early Judge's Guild," and that feels accurate. It is both a hexcrawl procedure and a setting in itself. Killer art; killer tone; killer on the eyes because it is occasionally hard to read. Still love it, though.
Key
Landmark
- A large, blasted hole, 80' deep sits in the plains.
- Perhaps 300' across, it seems to be the remains of an old quarry.
- An inky black pool sits at the bottom.
Hidden
- 30' x 30' or so pool of deep black, but otherwise harmless, water.
- Within the pool is a corpse, a +1 axe is strapped to its back.
- 1-in-6 chance every turn spent in the pool to randomly bump into it.
secret
- A manticore has made its lair in a cave at the bottom of the quarry. Any overly loud sound will wake it.
